Baby Desi already had a logo that they wished to use, and had chosen their company name and registered the domain. They had also sourced a supplier for their new stock, and once the website price was agreed their adventure was under way.
After some initial teething problems with the supplier, Baby Desi’s stock arrived, and they were able to arrange a photo-shoot. The pictures that they took were stunning and showed off the products in their full glory. Although of a high quality, they still needed to be edited in order to match the theme of the website, ensure uniform formatting, and also optimised in order to ensure faster loading times. Ugly Fashion Media were able to advise at every step and took care of the editing and optimisation as required.
As the design neared completion, hosting was set up, and the website, including the products, and images were uploaded. At this stage training was given to the staff members so that they could take full control of their shop, including stock control and orders. Email addresses were set up for each department, and both the PCs to be used by the staff were equipped to accept the emails, as well as the phones of the company directors.
After upload, refresher training was given, and help documentation was supplied.
What happened next?
After the website was launched Baby Desi decided that they would like some additional marketing materials to take to trade shows and such. Ugly Fashion Media were able to produce a flyer for them to place around the local area, and also to hand out at the trade shows that they were attending.
Ugly Fashion Media also provided some basic advice on how to achieve better search engine results. Unfortunately it was initially noted by Ugly Fashion Media that the site was in fact ranking 3rd for their own brand name. That in its self is a problem, however, the much larger problem was that the results for position 1 and 2 was in fact videos of an adult nature. This problem had to be resolved, with immediate urgency, to avoid damaging the brand! Baby Desi were glad for the advice, and also for the professionalism that Ugly Fashion Media showed by following through after project completion in using their experience to check for potential issues like this!
